Mumbai blasts ... Do we have a mature media...
Just came across aan article in www.esakal.com. ...a leading marathi news daily.
It was all about the media and our leaders, we must give a thought ...
It just provoked me to think ...do we really have a media which is mature enough to show
and highlight the things which are really worth ?
This article came with an appropiate title "Ha baalishpanaa thaambaaylaach havaa" nicely written by Parag Karandikar.

ya - thats what's being talked about a lot now, after the recent incidents.. media ethics.
dunno about the image of the country bit - but increasingly the idiocy icreases - in questions like 'How do you feel about the blasts?'.. and in the race to be the first one to cover the news
and the author has echoed repeated protests made at all quarters against this whole 'Spirit of Mumbai' stuff.. where's the choice?

the author's reflected what is increasingly being talked about - media ethics in crisis
dunno about the image of the country part, but the idiocy is clear and infuriating in questions like 'How do you feel about the blasts'..
and ofcourse the whole 'Spirit of Mumbai' business .. which everyone is revolted by.. Where's the choice for them?
the race to cover the news first - breaking news - is somewhat responsible i presume.
